Program Requirements Necessary for Program Completion:

  • One credit of Biology or Anatomy/Physiology with a C or better (May substitute MEET score on AIMS Science for Biology credit)
  • Submit results of a reading assessment as follows: Accuplacer Reading (74 or higher), ACT Reading (21 or higher), Next Generation Reading (249 or higher), RDG100 Successful College Reading (Grade of C or higher)
  • Copy of unofficial transcript
  • Students may not be enrolled in two or more West-MEC Central Programs at the same time

Program Requirements due at time of REGISTRATION:

  • Proof of residency in West-MEC district boundaries due at time of registration
  • Copy of birth certificate and immunizations due at time of registration
  • Immunizations must be up-to-date/ no exemptions
  • State issued ID, driver's license or driver’s permit due at time of registration
  • Proof of citizenship & 1 year Arizona residency due at time of registration
  • Students may not miss more than 10 hours
  • Students must be able to meet the physical demands of the program
  • Program hours are not excused for participation in extra-curricular activities, athletics or employment.

Grade: Current Senior students may apply
Fees / Supplies: $100.00 registration fee (includes enrollment processing) Uniform shirts ($15 each) purchased by the student through the college EMT book bundle -approximately $225.00 (purchased by the student) Prices are approximate and may change due to community college requirements. Success in the program depends upon the student having access to reliable internet outside of class to complete assignments and tests

Additional Information and Requirements Necessary for PROGRAM COMPLETION:

HS Credits: 2 elective credits (2 elective credits per semester)
Length of Program: One semester/200 hours
Certification: American Heart Association CPR/AED, National Reg of EMTs National EMT Cert
